Short Film Festivals Entry

Film festivals are events staged by universities, private organizations, local governments, arts associations and/or film societies. They provide an opportunity for unknown filmmakers to get their movies in front of a real live audience and to have their films reviewed by professional critics. Filmmakers whose movies get accepted into a festival also get valuable press attention and exposure to prospective agents and buyers, not to mention a sometimes sizable cash award if they win. Film festivals celebrate the art of the film and champion the artists who produce it.


These are 7 different film festivals that allow you to submit your short film, including 2 Oscar qualifying festivals:

Welcome

FilmOneFest (the Atlantic Highlands One-Minute International Film Festival) is a celebration of the super short film and a snap-shot of the creative image making happening online and across the world. Founded in 2008, the festival takes place on third Saturday of July at the Atlantic Highlands Marina and is screened at other venues throughout the year. Films (under 2 minutes in length) from local and international film and video makers are projected on a giant screen under the stars on the historic shores of Sandy Hook Bay.  Submissions for 2016 will open in December 2015.

Remember, all films/vides must be UNDER 2 MINUTES in length (including credits). We highly suggest you upload a high definition quality video as we project on a giant high definition LED screen.
The submissions deadline is May 15th.

I learnt that Film Festivals exists to provide opportunity for unknown filmmakers. I found out that 'FilmOneFest is the suitable short film festival as it does one minute short film only, I am able to submit my short film. To able to submit, I would have to go on their website and you will able to see  "Submissions are now open for FilmOneFest 2016", then we should click on it. It tell you when the festival takes place which is the third Saturday of July (16th July 2016). It also tell you how to submit and when the submission deadline is (May 15th 2016). All short films have to under 2 minute to able to submit.
