There are no hard-and-fast rules as to what makes a good short film but here are a few tips that might help.
  • An Exciting & Original Idea
  • A Strong Script
  • Good Acting
  • High Production Values
  • Make It Short
  • Strong Beginning
  • Avoid Repetition & Punchline Twists
  • Exciting New Techniques & Style

These tips are very important as it will help me on how to make a successful short film. I learn that I will need a strong beginning which mean I will need a hook that will grab the audience's attention, I will also need a good script and actors otherwise it can let the film down. I will have to make it short to keep the viewer's attention but it's not a problem as I am doing a one minute short film. Last but not least, I should have an original idea that show creativity and interest so I would be able to make it a good short film.
